The Northeast Kingdom of Vermont has been selected by National Geographic to develop a geotourism program for the region. This program allows Vermont's Northeast Kingdom to join a select group of countries and regions working with National Geographic's Center for Sustainable Destinations to promote tourism that enhances and sustains the environment, culture, and heritage of tourism destinations.
